WordPress has been sending me numbers on how many hits my website has had recently. Since I haven’t posted anything in years, the numbers were a bit surprising: high enough to encourage me to do more. But most of my writing these days has focused on writing a couple of memoirs, which I will post when they are ready…. most likely months from now.

But to get me back to posting something small, let’s try the following:

With the Superbowl tomorrow, my friends in the KC area, where I live, have been asking who I am betting on. Since I hate to lose money and hate to take others’ money, I am not betting. But if I did bet, I would not bet on the Chiefs, given their uneven performances all year. But I would never bet again Patrick Mahomes. 

Rather than bet, I will simply root for the Chiefs, even if the Packers are still my favorite team. But even on that, I will hedge my bets. Though I am no star gazer, I am mostly rooting for Taylor and Travis these days. I guess that hearing the latest MAGA conspiracy theory, will do that to me.
